During the day while Jon was at work, I walked around the CBD area and did some window shopping. The weather was perfect - sunny yet not too hot. I walked around for most parts of the day, with a Boost juice on one hand, and a map in the other.
Came across this quaint little alley called London Court. It has such a different feel to it, as compared to the other parts of the city. I likeeee... it's so pretty here I could just spend the whole day, sipping a cuppa coffee while reading a good book :)
Pretty ain't it?? Just loveee this place. Jon called in the afternoon, after his meetings. So we met up for lunch at the London Court Cafe :)
YUMMSSSS... After lunch, Tee Ching gave us a ring, to say that she could come out for a quick drink cause work wasn't too busy.
Tee Ching & I at Exomod Coffee in the CBD.
Went back to her place after work, and then had a quick shower, rested for awhile before heading out for dinner with some friends. Apparently, Tee Ching made reservations at this place, and we were meant to dress up! OH NO!! I didn't bring any dresses or heels, or anything.... well, dressy, really.
We went for dinner at The Pony Club @ Mount Lawley. It's a Spanish place that serves modern Spanish tapas - with fresh Australian produce.
The food there were pretty yummy, I have to say.
I can't remember what they are by now, but most of them were pretty good :)
Breakfast at Sawyers the next morning was nothing short of superb. The place was packed to the brim, and we had to wait for a table.
His bacon and eggs, with wilted spinach - Perfect start to our day. We ate so much for breakfast / brunch, we couldn't even fit lunch into our stomach!

With my BFF :)
After brunch, we went shopping for a shirt for Jon cause he packed really light, and realised that he is one shirt short for this trip. So we headed to Garden City and caught up with Mike for awhile as well... Shopping on a Saturday, is like a must or something. The whole place was packed, and it was horrible looking for parking. We then realised that it was because they don't open on Sundays. So all the working people would have to go shopping on Saturday to get stuff they need.
As you know, I'm not a huge fan of crowded places, so we left and adjourned to have some drinks and snacks at The Merchant.

The ambience was quite nice :) We sat down and people-watched for awhile, whilst enjoying our snacks and energy drinks. The weather started to look a little cloudy after awhile, and it was getting windy, so we headed home to put on something a little warmer... before heading to Fremantle in the evening.

Us at the Little Creatures Brewery for dinner. This place is massive, and you can get all the Little Creatures beer on tap! :) Right where they are made.... YUMS! *burp* hehehhe.
Dinner that night was pretty yummy! I think it was the best meal we had in Perth that weekend :P I will definitely make another trip there, if I were to go to Perth again. That, and also to try the infamous Fish and Chips at Cicerello's.
Apparently, WA's no. 1 Fish and Chips!! We were too full to try anything by that time. It'll have to be in the list for the next time. Hehehe. Everyone else says it's good though. I'll just take their word for it. I mean, seriously, how out of the world can fish and chips be??
We were supposed to have an early night after being out the whole day, but ended up going for bubble tea - laughing and joking till way past midnight. Went home with a crampy stomach from all the laughing, and then ended up talking till almost 3am before we fell asleep...
So much for an early night!
The next and very last day in Perth was spent admiring Perth's natural beauty and spending some quality time with the bestie before heading back to Melbourne.

The day started when we recharged ourselves over yumcha in Northbridge - the Chinatown.

YUMMMMSS... *rubs tummy* The shanghai dumpling pastry was a little tough, but the rest of the dimsims were very satisfying!
Headed to Cottlesloe after lunch.... to enjoy some sea breeze, and babes in bikinis. Tee hee hee...
The sky was blue, the water crystal clear, and the breeze absolutely fresh and crisp!

Cottlesloe is so beautiful I can't even describe it in words. You just can't compare it to the murky, brown water that we get here on St Kilda Beach. Yucks!

Sand beneath my feet - soft, smooth, warm.... perfection.

We had gelati under the tree, sat down on the grass... and chatted, people watched! So blissful. If only we could do this every week!!

If I were to live around here, I reckon I'd pick up bodyboarding! :) Everyone there was boarding or surfing. The weather's just perfect for things like that. Well, and considering that the shopping complexes are not gonna be open on Sundays - I can head to the beach every weekend! How awesome is that? Hehehe.
The Perth trip was awesome. I got to catch up with two of my really good friends. Jon is again, in Perth for work... this time around, for another 4-5 days. Sighh... I reckon this travelling and being away from each other, might start to be a regular thing in the future. Well, at least this is a good time for me to get my studies done since exam is only a week away! :(
Bleks. I hate studying.

I'm a big fan of people watching myself as well...but don't get much of a chance where I live now....
I'm from Perth! And I loved your descriptions. I must say I have never been to the London Court Cafe or The Pony Club but after seeing your happy snaps of the food I will definetly be heading round there soon. X
Glad that you loved Perth! and I do agree Cottesloe is way more beautiful than St Kilda..
