I just realised that I have these photos on my draft from a month ago! OMG.... I have been truly slack in updating my blog. My posts have dwindled over the years. Sometimes, I don't know how to put my thoughts into words. Other times, I worry about who might be reading it. Sometimes, there's just nothing in my mind to blog about.
This ain't gonna be too many words, but since it's a significant birthday for him - IT'S HIS 30TH! I shall post some pics up so there will remain in my memory bank in years to come :)
The celebrations started the night before, with a little bowling and drinks session with family and a few close friends. We then headed to play pool since the boy wasn't really tired after drinks that night.
We made reservations at Nobu Melbourne for his actual birthday. We had dinner there for my birthday last year, and absolutely over-ordered, so we made sure we didn't go too crazy this time around.
The amount of food was just right :)
And the service was prompt. Staff members were friendly and helpful. They even provided us with complimentary cupcakes with a little candle for the birthday boy. Tee hee :D
The company was awesome, and the wine recommended, easy to go down :P Yums... hehe.
Happy 30th birthday, my boy.
It was during the Chinese New Year's season, so Crown had all these chinese decors on the concourse area. They were quite beautiful really. A majestic dragon, and many colourful lanterns to light up the night sky.
I wanna write my wishes on the lanterns, and release them into the night sky! :) Ain't they just pretty? At times like these, I miss the extravagant decorations in the shopping complexes in Malaysia. They just seem to have an endless supply of money to go all out with the decorations! You just don't get stuff like that around here.
Oh I digress.... now let me show you my pride and joy:
Jon's birthday cake! DORAEMON CAKE! Custom made :) I even got a speeding fine from when I drove there in the morning to collect the cake! Damn... thank God he loved the cake.
Jonathan's 30th Birthday Cake - Jaffa mud cake inside :P Doraemon on the outside.... heheheh.
Happy Birthday to my man. Yeaps, you're officially a man now. You can tell people that you're in your thirties. Hehehe.. Perhaps now people won't think you're a little kid anymore!
The family with the birthday boy (and his cake of course!)
Us chatting while enjoying the yummy cake with blue icing. Our lips were all blue from the food colouring it was quite disgusting, but super fun at the same time! Hahahaha.
Thank God the boy was happy with all his presents! He's a difficult one to please when it comes to pressies and stuff! He kinda has everything he wants.
Jon with the girls :P Woots!
