I feel in love with Queenstown.

Yet again.

The last time we were there was a year ago. We didn't have enough of the place, hence we returned there for a holiday this year - twice the length of time...
But hey, what can I say? You can never have too much of a good thing!

We flew on a Tuesday morning and arrived in Queenstown, New Zealand around 2pm NZ time.

It was a glorious day, with clear blue skies, intermittently dipped by little white fluffy clouds. And the view of the snow capped mountains as we approached Queenstown, brought immense joy to the both of us!

It was as if all our worries seemed to have flown away, at least momentarily... as we savoured the moment, the peace and serenity.

Queenstown is still as beautiful as I remembered it to be. It is such a pretty place. It's almost I left a piece of my heart here last year, and have returned to search for it.

We checked in to our hotel by the lakeside, dropped our luggage, and wandered the streets. That sense of familiarity, yet being in a foreign place - away from work and worry... is really quite difficult to describe. But good none-the-less :)

Jon got hungry, so we stopped by the fish and chips stall by the lake, and got ourselves some fries! YUMMO!

Queenstown still looks the same, only with more development! More new buildings, and abit more traffic than I remember! Not liking the traffic bit, but really not minding the new bars and restaurants at all!

We came back to the hotel lounge for abit to catch up with our ski host, Estela. Exchanged sme of our vouchers for transport to the ski fields etc. Rested for a little while before heading out for dinner to meet the guys. Jon has a few friends who coincidentally are here as well!

Dinner time!! I was a little happy snappy on the first day of my holiday! Can't blame me.

Diner was really yum! Jon had the lamb shank, which was cooked to perfection, and I ordered my all-time favourite - Mussels in white wine. MmMmmm....

Serei, Khar & Jon

We adjourned to a bar after dinner for some catching up and sussing out the snow condition at the moment. The guys have been here the past few days, so they have been boarding for the last couple of days.

Us, worry-free @ the World Bar.

This is the Word Bar. Quite a quaint little bar upstairs, but once you enter, it's quite decent in size. They even have a little attic above, with a few tables - where we were seated that night.

We didn't stay for very long that night. Had a few drinks and then headed back to the hotel, so we could get enough sleep for tomorow. A big day out in the snow!!

First destination - Cardrona! Mei on a board for the first time in New Zealand. Yes, I have boarded in Australia a little bit this season, but it's just not the same! Snow's sooo much more awesome here!

The guys claimed the now was best at Cardrona - so we took their advice and headed up to Cardrona with them the next morning. And it didn't disappoint. It was a blue-bird day, and not much wind... Snow was soft, almost powdery... it was great!

Us, beaming at the end of the day. Had a good day, with minimal falls! Hehe. I took an intermediate lesson, while the guys were attempting jumps and rails and stuff! No thanks!

Jonny boy doing a tail press. You should really look at him. He's quite agile on the board actually. Doing tricks and kickers and all.

I really enjoyed myself that day~! Thank you babe, for organising the NZ trip!!

This is only day 1~! Heaps more excitement to come.. So Stay tuned! Lots of other activities besides snowsports in winter! Hehehe.
