Flutter in my tummy

It's been awhile since I last felt this way.

I was feeling really lousy yesterday. Had one of the worst cramps in Mei's menstrual history! I had to go to the doctor's to seek medical advice! That was how bad it was, that I got a little scared myself.

So, as I was saying that I was having a really bad day until...

I heard my phone ring, and it was a message... from *X*. At that brief moment, I actually felt good and happy. The message wasn't long, but it brightened up my day. And strangely, it made the butterflies in my stomach flutter.

It wasn't anything uber sweet, and I shall not disclose what he said, or who he is. But the fact is, I suddenly realised that I feel as if I'm 18 again.

Mei is still capable of feeling those butterflies in her tummy. It's been awhile... It's been too long, that I've forgotten those butterflies were still alive. Everyone says I'm being too picky when it comes to love and relationships. But really, I'm a strong believer in "feeling" and "chemistry". It doesn't take much for a guy to capture my heart. If there's something, he doesn't even need to do much to impress me.

And no, I'm not committing my life to him or anything. I'm merely saying that maybe I shouldn't be such a cynic in love after all. And hey, it doesn't kill to have a little excitement in life. A little something to look forward to, I guess?

Mei ain't high maintenance nor demanding (despite what some people think) *Bleh*. All it needed to make my day, was a little message... not diamond rings, or super expensive cars. All I want, is a little gesture to remind me that I'm in your mind. That I'm remembered, albeit the distance. Yes, I'm a hopeless romantic. So sue me!

Thank you *X*, for making my ultimate sucky day, a little more tolerable.

*** Now, I hope he doesn't read this, or I'll be so embarassed ***

hey gal.. jz hope you're fine! i know how bad stomach cramps are, i face that too. hope you'll get better soon. ahem, bout that *X* thingy right, hahaha.. you're right. maybe sometimes girls don't need anything more than love and care. same like me! but its hard to actually find a guy who agrees with that, because guys have the tendency to think that girls are very demanding.
