Me: Oh, so it's just the chronic liver disease?
He: That's bad enough isn't it? With cirrhosis of the liver?? and chronic liver failure?
Me: (O.o) Oh, I didn't mean it that way. Sorry... :( *shy* *didn't know how to react*
ArgHhh! How could I have been so insensitive?!? *bangs head onto wall or whatever hard surface I can find* Stupid me!! Silently slapping myself silly for having said that... and obviously, he took offence.
Sigh, this is what happens, when you haven't done a long case in a year (Yes, O&G, Paeds and the whole of Specialty Health were very different. I have not done a med/surg long case for ages!), and have to desperately clerk a patient for my long case presentation tomorrow! :(
