Max-ed out! (and girls with gear sticks)

Friday night is like the designated night for the gang to have dinner together. We always took it for granted, but now, we're making a point to, for we're all going our separate ways next year, and won't have much opportunity to see each other very often... Well, at least I'm making an effort to, and not let my other affairs consume the whole of me :) *tee hee*

But right before dinner, I already filled my little tummy with hot chocolate and waffles from Max Brenner, during our little catch-up session with Krystal and Samantha. Haven't seen them both in awhile, and obviously, all three of us had heaps to update each other. Hehehe.

Then met up with the gang for dinner straight after! Wahhh... I couldn't have dinner at all. So, I sat down with them, picked on their food a little, and only had soup for myself. The food there ain't too bad :) and the place is pretty cosy... I've never noticed it before though. It's like... on some little lane along Lt. Bourke Street...

The light installation was pretty cool... Just thought I'd snap a pic of it :) Hehehe.

After dinner, Ade dropped me home for abit to drop off the soup for Jon **Yes, he's still battling the cold. I'm starting to suspect a bacterial infection now, since he's been down with it for more than a week, and is feeling pretty darn crap now** then we went out again for drinks and dessert. Ade & I wanted to go for gelati @ Lygon, but old man TMY wanted Max Brenner's instead!

I was like "WHAT?!? I was only there 3 hours ago! But it's okay, I can have more waffles and hot chocolate! *grin*" Yes, I know I'm sad. It's like there's no other place in Melbourne for me to hang out. Just had to go to Max and stuff myself silly with waffles and chocolates. Hehehe.

Mei, Ade and the yummy waffles!

Doesn't it just look delicious? How can anyone ever resist thisssssss?? Mei was completely max-ed out on Max that night!

Clockwise from top left: The milk chocolate, dark hot chocolate, American hot chocolate with marshmallow, Equador dark chocolate with orchid flower oil, and the White hot chocolate.

Drinks was fun, we were discussing the size of heads *and yes, we were talking about the one attached to your neck. NOT the other one - if you happen to have more than one*. It was just hilarious... pointlessly hilarious! But that was not the highlight of the night.

After the girls dropped me home, I asked for a favour. Since Jon was sick and was resting in bed. I decided to be nice and help him move his car **obviously not moving it myself** to Vic Parade, so that he doesn't have to wake up early and pay for parking the next day on La Trobe Street. I went up to my apartment, grabbed his car keys, and came down again with Karen to move his car...

Kaz: "Err.. where's the switch for his lights?"
Mei: "Uurrrr... on the right I think. Somewhere there *pointed*"
**fiddles around a little**
Kaz: "Oh... found it!"

Kaz: "Err, where's the reverse gear?"
Mei: "Left most, top."
Kaz: "But we're still moving forward"
Mei: "Uurrr... maybe it's not right. Try the rest? Downwards perhaps??"
**fiddles with it for about 5 minutes, and car was still moving forward. Hhmm... Thank God we were on a slope, so when we got too close to the car parked in front of us, we'll let the car roll back a little, and start the whole figuring out ritual all over again.**

Phone rings!
Ade: "What are you guys doing? Taking so long?!"
Mei: "We can't find the reverse gear!!"
Kaz: "The reverse gear doesn't work. It doesn't reverse the car. We are still moving forward, not backwards."
Ade: "WHAT?! I'm coming over now" ** got down from her car, and hopped into Jon's car**

3 silly girls in the car now, trying to figure out how to work a gear stick! I swear I hate manual cars! Especially manual cars with buttons and switches at non-standard locations!

Mei: "Let's try again. Maybe you're meant to press the clutch or something when you change the gear?"
Ade and Kaz: **looked at me like I'm an idiot! :( ** "Dear gal, you ARE suppose to step on the clutch to change the gear. You HAVE to."
Mei: "Ohhh... really? I knew that"

**more fiddling around, and still getting nowhere**

Kaz: Maybe we should just call Jon?
Mei: No, it'll make us 3 sound like complete idiots. Can't even change gears? We'll figure this out...
Ade: Erm, I think we should just look into the manual. Is there one around?
Mei: Glove compartment maybe... *searches around for it*

FINALLY, we figured out how to put the car on reverse gear! So Kaz started driving, for like 4 metres before another funny thing happened! She indicated for a left turn... by turning the wipers on! Hahahaha..

Then she panicked and went "Oh no!! The wipers are on! Where's the indicator???"

Ade: "Turn off the wipers!"
Mei: *LOL* Hahahahahahahah...
Kaz: *LOL* "I don't know where it is! Gimme a moment to figure it out!" *lol*

And in the midst of everything, we missed the U-turn, and had to turn into Rathdowne Street instead, and then negotiate a U-ey there. Hahahaha. Then... after like 20 mins, we finally managed to safely park his car on Victoria Parade :) Hahahahaha...

Mei: "Such drama. Just to move the car from there, to here." *Straight line distance was probably 20 metres**
Ade: "I don't think you should tell Jon about the trauma his car went through just to get to the other side of the road. At least not until he feels better."
Kaz: "And don't tell him who drove his car!!"

Too late now, Kaz... he knows the story.

Ahem. Just to clarify, I turned the wipers on cos the windscreen was a bit er, blurry... To improve the visual field - Safety first.
And there were no cars behind, that's why I didn't need to use the indicator light. =P

I knew what I was doing the whole time... =D
