Old friends, new adventures...

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. Just finished my run of 7 days of work (with a few long days ie 13 hours shifts in a row) so I have pretty much been working, eating, sleeping, and back to work again...

I have got the day off today, so I thought I should update my blog so it doesn't start gathering moss. Hehehe...

It's been awhile since I last caught up with Addy and Karen. Being back at work certainly has its perks, but it does make it a little more difficult to catch up with my loved ones because of the odd, long hours I work...

Anyhow, I had the pleasure of Addy and Karen's presence for lunch the other day... and we decided to have claypot rice at Glen Waverley. Being Malaysians, I suppose we do miss local cuisines once in awhile... especially the exotic ones that can't really be found in other places.

After lunch, we headed over to have desserts at Cafe Moretti around the corner. I personally haven't been there before. I know of its existence, but have always gone to Coco Lounge / Mocha Joe's - so we decided to give this a try since they seemed to have a large selection of cakes / sweets.

Waited for my long lost friend, David Eu to come and join us. He was in Melbourne for a couple of days, and since I haven't caught up with him for 4-5 years, I HAD to this time around... I reckon the last time we saw each other was when I went to Sydney quite a few years back, or it could have been in KL when we both went back for a holiday...

The four of us shared 2 desserts. Most of the time, I was just digging into the apple and rhubarb crumble... It was quite yummy. Hehehe...

The girls left us after the afternoon tea session as Karen had to go back to the hospital to do practice cases for her FRACP exams (GOOD LUCK GIRL!!!)

After they left, David and I went back to the city for abit for him to get his luggage, and then hung out at St Kilda in the evening. He was going to stay overnight at a friend's place in St Kilda, just off Acland Street~! How happening indeed... hehehe.

Seeing David again (He goes by Cheng Teik nowadays) just reminded me of how I miss hanging out with this funny man! Hahahaha... Well, I'm looking forward to planning a short trip to Sydney (yes again) sometime soon :) I have a short break of a couple of days sometime next month... and I'm kinda considering either going to Sydney, or maybe to Adelaide to visit some good friends.

Hmmm... what do you think?

And oh, since we're on the topic of desserts before, here are a few more random yummy pics!! :)

Yummylicious huh??? We went to Westfield Doncaster the other night to have our favourite chilli dumplings :) Yes, we are indeed creatures of habit... Just have to get our fix :) teehee..

 Waiting for the dessert...

Chocolate, strawberry & peanuts crepe with ice-cream.
Looks disgusting, but super yums :)
