I of course said yes. I am honoured to have been given the opportunity to have input into her new pad. It's not everyday your friends ask for input into their new home. I reckon it's quite a personal thing...
But she said I've always had a good eye for pretty stuff :) So... hehehe... who am I to deny? :P
We met up a quaint little cafe in Balwyn, called the Snow Pony. The decor was simple, retro, and quite pretty really.
The menu was also a little different from the classic bacon and eggs. I loveeeee my traditional breakfast, but I also love them with a modern twist. I opted for the baked eggs, with chorizo, spinach, and fetta cheese~!
It was absolutely divine!!! I wiped it clean!!! Those who know me well knows that I rarely finish the food on my plate, but this was sooo good! The sourdough bread crust was a little tough, but besides that, I have got no complaints!
Bal was happy with hers too! I can't remember exactly what she ordered, but it had avocado, with mushrooms and poached eggs, drizzled with olive oil! Heavenly! She let me try some of her food, and I didn't wanna stop eating hers too! Kekekeke...
Maybe I was just happy I had a day off work.
Maybe I was just hungry!
Maybe, it was just cause the food was good!! Yums~!
Mei sporting the bold Alannah Hill bow dress :) I absolutely love it. I wore it to work the other day, cause I just HAD to wear it somewhere after buying it. Hehehe. And everyone complimented the dress :) Including the pathology nurse who's 50?
She came up to me with a serious face, and whispered "Mei, I just have to tell you, that you look nice everyday, but the dress today looks really beautiful on you".
AawWwwW.... thanks Di!
After stuffing our faces, the serious work begins! Hunting for the perfect wallpaper... Bal showed me a few of the ones she liked.... and after spending hours in the shop, we finally decided on the 2 that we liked most, and that we thought were the most suitable for her home...
Phewh!! Hard work I tell ya!! The boss at the shop was like, "you girls are still at it!!" and proceeded to give us some pointers etc.
Well, it was a good day indeed. I caught up with Addy for lunch and coffee after that, and brought Remy out for an evening walk :) Ran some errands, and then had dinner with Jon.
My day wasn't too exciting, but it was filled with purpose, filled with people I love. And for that, I am happy. And whilst I know that not everyday is going to be sunshine, I know that I will always have people who will stand by me, and support me in all I do.
Life is slowly resuming its normality, and I feel like I am recharged again, filled with motivation and purpose. I suppose, sometimes, some things need to happen in order for us to see things, and re-evaluate the situation.
This life is mine to live, and I will live it the way I want - Mei

Btw, I have decided to go private. This blog was started for my family and friends to keep up with what I have been doing, places I have been going, people I have been meeting. And whilst I have gained some 'fans' and 'supporters' along the way, I have also come to realise that I have 'strangers' coming to my blog, reading about my life, and judging me.
I know I can just ignore them and all that, but really, why put up with it when I have the choice of only allowing the people whom I want to read my blog, to be able to access it. So to those of you who would like to have access still, please drop me an email / comment with your email address so I can add you guys k? :)
I will continue blogging, but I just feel like I don't need to let everyone in. It's taken awhile for me to do this, but it's time to get it done. It's not that I have anything to hide. But I just feel like there are certain things that are better said in private. I am not the person who rubs salt into someone else's wound, for I believe that vengeance does not belong to me.
Someone asked me the other day, "What do you think she's feeling right now?"
"I don't know", was my answer.
"If she's sad and heartbroken because the relationship ended - then perhaps she could multiply that pain by 40, and then she'll have a slight idea of the pain I was in".
I don't hate her, but I don't have to be the first to feel sorry for her too. Because hey, did she ever feel sorry for me?

nice top btw.
Why should YOU have to feel sorry for her? She asked for it in the first place by doing what she did!
