A picnic with the little family

I know this is wayyy overdue, but Blogger was being an ass with the photos uploading. I have no idea why... but it seems to be all sorted now. Anyways, to cut the long story short, I had 2 photos uploaded for the longest time, but I just couldn't load the rest. Weirdddd...

So, a couple of weeks back, the three of us decided to have a little picnic in the park. Since the weather was good, and I wanted to soak up some Vitamin D, we bought some lunch and headed to the reserve so that little Remy could run around. I reckon if I did a Vitamin D level on myself, I'd be sooo deficient from being indoors all the time! :(

Our charcoal chicken with salads, complete with drinks and fruits and all...

We wanted to let Remy off the leash, but I got abit scared cause he was very excited. I thought he would run away with other doggies if I let him off, so we decided to be "overly protective parents" and left him on the leash instead... But we did let him roam on the long retractile 5m leash... hehehe. He didn't seem to be complaining much :)

Think he was rather happy being with other doggies. Running around and sniffing each other out etc. Some doggies just ran straight into the creek, and had a little swim.... hehehe. Remy's not much of a swimmer though. I don't think he's a big fan of water.

Mei & Remy on the bridge.

It's so difficult to snap a photo with him looking into the camera. He was just hyperactive, trying to sniff everything out.

Now you see his cute face? hehehe. I know I speak of  my doggie as if it's my child! But the truth is, he is one super adorable toddler!! Everyone loves him! Uncle Peter almost wanna adopt him, I reckon. He's beginning to call Remy his doggie now.

One of the most interesting thing I saw for the day has got to be the pet duck!!

We saw this very obedient pet duck, that follows its owner walking, like how... doggies follow their owners walking in the park, you know?? But the only difference is... this little duckie gets to go for a swim in the creek!!

So, the owner picks him up, gives him a little cuddle... and then puts him into the water, and starts splashing this little duckie! :) And he seemed to be enjoying it and having a ball!! It doesn't like, swim away or anything like that... amazing!!

Then they started catching tadpoles and yabbies for the cute duckie. This little boy got all fascinated and wanted to help out. Hahahaha... we were quite fascinated too, hence snapping pics and all. Ended up chatting with the owners for awhile... They were really nice people!

It was really quite a sight!

I can't wait till the weather warms up again. It was shorts weather for awhile, and then now it's back to long sleeves and stockings again... *sigh* Good ol' Melbourne...
