Day trip down Mornington Peninsula

Yes, as I have mentioned earlier, I have been taking weekly golf lessons recently. I do admit that partially, it's because of Jon's undying passion towards golf that got me started. It all happened very spontaneously one fine day. We walked into a golf shop, and before you know it, I walked out with a golf set and a membership card! And wah laa... there was no looking back.

Yesterday, we played at a simple course in Oakleigh. I am only starting out, so 9 holes is good enough of a workout for me! Having said that though, we made a trip down to Mornington Peninsula a couple of weeks back when the weather was good, and the sun was shining in all its glory...

Mei driving the golf buggy.

I wasn't really playing that day, but did end up playing a few holes when the marshalls were not looking. It was a rather quiet day at the course, and there was nobody waiting behind us... so yeah, I did hit some balls! Kekekeke... sneaky rite??

Jon @ Moonah Links, playing the Legends course - rated one of the best public accessible courses in Victoria.

Mei putting. It seems like it's the only thing that I can do properly. I can hit my irons okay now, but I still can't seem to drive properly with my woods!! ArgHhHhh....

The very beautiful course - and the very luxurious, and not to mention expensive holiday houses on the course. It's crazy isn't it?? Spending millions on a home you hardly use! I wish I had that amount of money to spend!!!

Horses at the other side of the fence...

It was a longgg game indeed, and we lost a few balls... (I lost another 2 balls in Oakleigh when I played with Jon on Melbourne Cup Day). But the beautiful golf course  certainly compensated for it... Oh, and get golf cart too!! Normally, Jon is his own caddy, and I pull my buggy... but driving is wayyyyy better than walking when you're feeling lazy!

We proceeded to unwind @ Rye Beach... to munch on some fish and chips, and cool down with some drinks.

Seagulls hunting for food. They came soooo close to us when we were having our fish and chips! NOT funnnn...

The boxes @ Rye Beach.

Listening to the calming sound of waves... and just drifting away from reality. It was just... beautiful... Too bad the weather was still too cold for a dip.

My skinny, veiny feet.

Some kid and his mom, who's not afraid of the cold sea water... hehehe... But we'd definitely return when summer comes!! Addy and Jia Lian, we're going cherry picking later in the year yeah??? We haven't had a group trip in awhile now... It's about time we did some travelling together again! Besides, Karen misses sharing the bed with you, and holding your hand, Jia Lian!! Hehehhee...

**More updates later. I'm going for another golf game tomorrow if the weather permits***
