We had the day off on Melbourne Cup day a few weeks ago. I know I've been slow in posting up photos, but it's been a pain uploading them... or attempting to. I've actually got a few more pics, but they just don't seem to wanna upload onto Blogger, so... I guess these will have to do for now.
I've actually had a busy busy rotation these past few months, and haven't had the chance the catch up with the rest of them... so I decided that we should get together for yumcha **the rest are likely not to be working cause it's a public holiday** so I sent a text to the rest of the gang to organise a little get together...

The boys @ Taipan - Richard, James and Jonathan.
Addy was kind enough to make the booking, as she was getting the final numbers... The place was packed when we got there! I was lucky enough to find a park within the vicinity... it was like warzone!

Mei, Chee Yoong and Jia Lian.
All happy after the yummy food. The "battle" was sorta worth it, I suppose... hehehe. I had my "tofu fah" after a longgg longgg time :) so no complaints there.
After lunch, the rest retreated to Richard's place for a game of pictionary, while Jon and I went for a round of 9-holes golf @ Oakleigh. I was a little hesitant of hitting the golf courses initially, as I haven't had much practice... but it turned out alrite. It's actually alot better to practise in the "real environment" rather than just hitting balls on the range.
After the game, we met up with the foodie gang again for dinner @ IndoChine in Box Hill.

Chee Yoong and Mei, with our ginormous servings of food.

Oh don't they just look yummyyyy?? I especially liked the seaweed herbal drink thingo that I had... although it was a tad sweet... but I haven't actually had that at other Vietnamese restaurants. I reckon I'd order that again when I do return the next time.

I was really hungry by then, so I was munching away.... ignoring the camera. Addy was taking random shots of us...

So I repayed the favour by snapping random shots of them too after I finished my food. Haha :P

Richard and Karen - both camera shy...

Addy, CheeYoong and Mei - after dinner...
I reckon we don't see each other often enough. We're all preoccupied with work, and should really make more of an effort, but it's just difficult sometimes, with shift work and all... Often I look back, and reminisce on those good ol' student days! Oh how I miss those "relatively care free" days!! I mean, we had to worry about exams and all, but nothing like getting into training programs, whether you need to "apply interstate and relocate" kinda worry.
But it's all good... the gang is planning a little retreat to the Mornington Peninsula next month, so that should be good :) I shall keep you guys updated on how that goes...
