I know I've been abandoning my blog for some time now... Have just returned to work after 6 weeks of annual leave, and boy was it difficult! I had to cover till 9pm that day, and my shift felt longer than ever! **FYI, I have worked shifts longer than that** Thank God it wasn't too busy though, and there weren't any MET calls / code blues during my cover shift! Phew.... cause I certainly don't know much about Gynae / Gynae Oncological emergencies!
Anyways, I know I have promised updates on my trips... and I have heaps of photos to post up, so I guess, I'll just have to separate them into different posts.
Mike graced us with his presence in Melbourne again recently. Not for work this time around, but purely for pleasure. He headed up to the snow with some of his other friends over the weekend, and then went to Philip Island and Mornington Peninsula I think??
Caught up with him and Addy over lunch in the city.
We have Thai for lunch. The food was actually really palatable, but the service certainly left a huge lump in my throat. I was really close to scolding the waiter the other day, both because of his stupidity, but more because of his sarcasm and rudeness.
I can't even remember the name of the restaurant, but I guess it doesn't really matter because I'm certainly not going back there. It's along Swanston Street, somewhere between Lonsdale and Lt. Bourke... but its name *shrugs*
We spent the arvo in my favourite shops - Altitude, Capitol 17 and Auski, cause Mike was looking for a pair of gloves before he hit the snow. I, was just buying more accessories for my NZ trip then. Scored myself 2 new beanies~! Kekekeke.... at a 10% discount too :D
Mike & Mei - to many more years of friendship. And this time, I drove him around for once! I don't think he's ever been in my car, after soooo many years of being friends, and always fetching me around... It's my turn now, I guess :)
Addy & Mike.
We rested our legs at San Churro's for abit, while waiting for Jon to finish work and meet us in the city.
Enjoying our churro's and the hot-and-cold drink. It was Mike's first time cause they don't have San Churro's in Perth! Another reason why you should just abandon ship and come join us on the dark side, buddy. Hehehehe...
Well, I don't know when I'll get to see him again. Hopefully, in the next couple of months?? But everytime we do meet up, I'm glad that things are never awkward. It's as if we just pick up from where we left off, years ago...
Good friends are difficult to come by, you know?? As you get older, you tend to cherish the simple things in life... and you come to realise that true friendship, will stand the test of time. I guess it only goes to prove that, no matter how hard someone tries to prevent you from keeping in touch with one another... at the end of the day, here we are :) :)
"There is no point in explaining, because your friends won't need it, and your enemies will not believe you anyway".

OMG, Cheryl doesn't look like Cheryl. She's got such shiny and puffy cheeks. Shiew looks her usual happy self.
Thanks for meeting up with me again, and taking me to that interesting Thai restaurant... :)
I couldn't agree more with you regarding our friendship. Thanks for keeping in touch, regardless of the past. I'm glad you and Jon are happy.
Now about our next catchup session, how's Perth for you? :p
michael: Cheryl's soo gonna punch you for saying that! Hahaha... Yeah, Shiew's still gorgeous as ever! I miss that girl!
Hey, meeting up is no problem. So, was my driving scary? hehehe... and Hey! I did not suggest that place k? It was Addy's idea! I had no idea that place existed even!
Friends forever man... :) Perth sounds like a nice place... will let you know when I do have leave. Don't think it's gonna be anytime soon though. I have just used up my quota for the year :( sighh....
