Was just reading my sister's blog when she stated :
"Opposites attract?
Recent study has shown that it's not quite true..
While people who are very different from us may be fun to be with at first, the attraction dies down after a while..
At the end of the day, we are all actually looking for someone as similar as to ourselves as possible...
Because we understand ourselves, we communicate better with ppl that are of the same kind...
We are all looking for someone who walks the same pace...playing too much catch ups put a lot of strain to a relationship, and if one party stopped walking, while the other still move ahead, chances are, they would drift apart."
It made me reflect upon myself, and I couldn't deny the truth in what she said. I don't deny that opposites do attract... that's why the bad boys get all the nice girls... and vice versa. But the truth is, those relationships never really last. After the mystery dies, there's not much to explore anymore, is there?
Because it's true that at the end of the day,
I only want someone to hold my hand,
Tell me that he'll walk the journey with me,
That everything will be ok,
So long we face obstacles together.
Someone who knows what I'm thinking,
Without me having to say anything,
Someone who makes me smile,
and laugh with no effort...
Someone who will embrace me,
And never let me go,
Although once in awhile,
There will be temptations...
Because that someone knows better,
Than to let go of a beautiful relationship,
To indulge in transient happiness and elation.

...but alas, attraction is where it all really begins!
the unknown: Yeah, I agree... hence the existence of the phrase... fatal attraction ;)
But sometimes, you just can't help it huh?
Hi I think that attraction happen on how you feel when you are with him/her, how the other party can make you feel. Not how similar you are with him/her.
