Italiano Nite Out...

We decided to head out for dinner and drinks last night... Cause Kelly just made it to the finals of her singing competition, and me being a glutton, wanted free food from Jon :D Since he just got back from KL with some local delicacies, who could resist seeing him? Tee hee...

As I am typing this, I'm munching on "sotong" - yes, the "sotong bakar" type that you can get from "pasar malam" and also crunchy spicy anchovies. Yummmm! I haven't had those things for agesss!!

Dinner was at La Spaghettata on Lygon Street. Jon seems to think that's my favourite hangout for some weird reason! I reckon it's Kelly's favourite hangout! Hehehhe. The food was not as good as usual, but for once, we had a group of musicians serenading us while we were having dinner. Hhmmm... Wonder what the occasion was.

Would have been quite romantic if I were to be out on a date or something. Hahahaha.. Speaking of a date, it's been too long since I last went on one. I can hardly remember what it feels like to go on a date.

Somehow, everyone was in the mood for pasta, except for me. I did want to order pasta at onepoint, but since I have been munching on junk food before dinner, I thought I'd just settle for something light. But it turned out the Caesar salad that I ordered was H.U.G.E! Like reallyyyyy bigggg!

The food looks totally yum huh? Well, they tasted alright, but they've been better. Somehow, they weren't fantabulous last night.

Jon the alcoholic, decided to order a bottle of white, since everyone was kinda having seafood :D The wine was quite good really. It was very smooth, and went down easily. The bad thing is, I turn red everytime I drink...no matter the amount! :( I'm such a lousy drinker! *sigh*

Jonathan reckons he looks dopey in the pic. Hahahaha. I'm not so sure about him, but I surely look like a lobster! *shy*

Gorgeous Kelly made it to the finals of her singing competition! We shall all go watch! I heard that dinner's gonna be served too, sounds good huh? It should be fun :D I'll be cheering and rooting for her!

Oh, we wanted to have gelati, but both Il Dolce Freddo, and Casa Del Gelato were closed, so we settled for Koko Black instead. No pics though. I got a little sick of snapping photos of Koko Black drinks. Kelly ordered a cocktail, but Jon was a little shy to order anything alcoholic, for he insisted that he wanted to be a responsible driver. Dang! I could have driven him home, if only he allowed! (and no, I don't mean in it a dirty, perserve way! You people... tsk tsk tsk ) *shakes head*

Oh well, all-in-all, it was a good night out, with great company! :D Thanks guys!
