The Finale...

Results were released today. I got up @ 8am to check my results, for I was nervous, and I couldn't wait till my usual "wake-up" time to logon.

I couldn't say that I'm not disappointed at myself. I know I could have done better. I'm really glad I passed, because I walked out of both the OSCE's cursing like a mad woman... but I know this is not good enough... It's not that I did badly, but just not good enough, considering I am hoping to do O&G, and thus, I wanted my marks to reflect that.

But I guess the consolation is, I am at my final hurdle now. The season finale... the beginning of the final chapter...

Haven't you wondered, that one only regrets what one doesn't have, only when it's too late?? The question kept popping into my head today... Are we all programmed that way? And if so, why???

Anyway, here are updates from the post-exam dinner last week. (Yes, we had many many post exam dinners. The one thing I didn't do, was get drunk!)

We dined @ Sukhothai for the first time. Ambience was nice, but food was so-so. Nowhere near the Ying Thai standard. I personally felt that it was too catered for Caucasians... It wasn't spicy enough, like authentic Thai food.

Thanks Jacy, for driving us there! If it wasn't for BLUR COW TMY who locked his car in the carpark, then Jacy wouldn't have to make two trips! *slaps forehead* How can someone not look at the operation hours?!? Sigh, but we can't really blame him... Getting old...

Kakaka... I reckon I look like a cartoon with a big head, and small body, in this pic :D

Sorry, I forgot to snap a photo before we started digging into our food. Hehehehe... Mind the half eaten fish! I should have flipped it over before snapping the picture... But the hooligans were all diving for the fish, and I was not quick enough in stopping them... Hence, the half eaten fish... but none-the-less, it was good! :D

The beef salad was good too... Quite spicy :D The rest of the dishes were alrite only. The green curry kinda sucked :(

Met up with WeiLay, Michelle, and Kok Hoe @ Pancake Parlour, Doncaster. We went to San Churro's at first, but that place was too small to fit 10 people, and it was too crowded... And we were not gonna sit outside and brace the brutal cold... so we drove to Doncaster for supper, and a decent place to sit down and chat :D

How time flies... Wei Lay is already leaving for KL tomorrow, and I'm only posting the first entry now. Hehehehe... Shall stop going shopping everyday, and update more regularly. Should be more disciplined...

Oh well, one more day, GOLD COAST, HERE I COME!!!!

WHEEEEE!!!!!

Yong Thai rules! I could still remember the time when a friend made reservations and pre-ordered dishes. When asked if she wanted it spicy, she said yea. They thought she was Thai and we ended up drinking more water than food. It sure was comical.

Have fun at the beach.

Ying that, typo.

the unknown: Yeah, Ying Thai kinda rawks! It's like the only close to authentic Thai food we get here :D

Oh, I heard that Thai Taste is not bad too :D Shall do a review when I have the chance to!

Thanks, I can't wait to escape the gloomy winter here!

No worries.

Lol, ironically on the same day of your great escape I'll be on my way to take your place in the cold. Winter's not all that bad in Melb, goes pretty well with coffee actually, real coffee (finally!!!!).

Btw, Poppy's isn't all too bad for localised aussie Thai. Will wait for your piece on Thai Taste or maybe I might just try it first ;)

There're really, too many to choose from.

Somehow Brunetti and The Potter are habitual although the coffee in Cicalata is way better and it does have a very appealing cosy interior (Art Deco, think New York!).

Looks like you had quite abut of fun at the coast. What's yours coffee haunt anyway?

Mei said...

the unknown: I love Laurent, but when darkness falls, Brunetti will have to do, or even The Coffee Bean @ Crown.

Where's Cicalata? I've got to pay the place a visit, if it's as good as you claim :D

It's on Lygon, between Faraday and Franklin. It's to the north or Tiamo. Almost across from Lygon court.

Where's Laurent? and there's a coffee bean at Crown? it must have been really quite a while since I been there.
