Random Updates

Since it's my week off work, I have been doing some pretty random stuff really...

1. Lunch with Kelvin, whom I haven't seen in years.

Was talking online with Kelvin the other day, and he suggested that we should catch up. Yes, every friend says that, but how often do you really? I decided that I should not be lazy. Instead, I agreed and actually made an effort to go see him for lunch the next day.

Went to Box Hill Centro for lunch, since he works around there.

Kelvin & Mei.

He's looking so much more prosperous nowadays! Must be all the love and happiness in his life. Hahaha. He's just recently bought a house around the area, moved in with his partner, and is planning to buy the rock soon. I think I'm pretty safe saying it here, since she doesn't know the existence of my blog? Hehehe.

CONGRATULATIONS Kel, you've come a longgg way from when I first knew you. The boy who was only interested in toys and fancy gadgets, etc. I guess we all grow up huh??

2. Spending quality time with my boys.

After work the other day, I thought to myself, "I have been so isolated from everyone on night shifts". My last night shift started rather horribly with a death and a very sick little 31 week-er being born.

The truth is, I needed some pick-me-ups and feel some warmth from the family. So I got home and got them out of bed to have breakfast.

Headed towards Camberwell Junction and realised that the Rotary Sunday Market was on!! Of course, it's Sunday!! I totally forgot about it. It's a nightmare finding parking when the market's on, but we managed to get one on the opposite side of the road. Phews~

We had a scrumptious breakfast to fill my hungry little tummy... And also took the opportunity to enjoy some sunshine! **and daylight for me!** Yippidy - doo- dah!

I also indulged in some flea market shopping. Bought myself a pair of earrings, and a hand made pin / brooch... Very happy with my purchases :)

Who said you have to spend a bomb to be happy? I passed on a pair of Prada shoes in the shop the other day, and I spent less than 30 dollars on those 2 items that still brought immense joy to me! Keke.

Remy was very happy getting food from me too, but you can't see him cause he's too low on the ground.

3. Shopping at Chapel Street.

I decided to stay awake for as long as I could that day, so Jon suggested that we went shopping! Well, of course I hopped up and down in agreeance! Nothing stops me from shopping, well.... except for maybe an overcharged credit card. Keke.

NO, of course I wasn't the driver! No way I would put 2 lives in my hands after a 12 hours shift, and then a few more hours awake after that...

I can't wait for summer to come, so I can put on some summer dresses, and sandals! I'm kinda over the whole boots and covered shoes phase now!

4. Shared some love with my fluffy boy.

I thought the boy deserves some love as well, since I haven't been walking him at all when I was on my night shift. Since the weather was permitting, we went out for a walk so he could get some fresh air, and expand him world a little, instead of being stuck at home, and in our backyard.

Look at how happy he is!!!

We of course made sure he knows that we love him to bits! Jon was cuddling Remy under the doona watching tele that night.
AwwWwwWWw....

5. My deepest condolences.

I just got a phone call from Jon and his dad, minutes apart... to tell me of the sudden passing of his cousin in Malaysia. He got stabbed!! and died :(

Apparently someone was trying to rob him of his laptop / briefcase or something, and he resisted. So they stabbed him, and unfortunately, he didn't make it. And to think that he was only 30! A bright future ahead of him.... gone in a flash.

I am sooo very sorry to hear that, and I hope the family is okay. Who am I kidding? Of course the family is NOT OK!! But what can you do?

I hope whoever did this to him, will be punished by law - and if not, die a very slow, painful, shameful death, and rot in hell~!

Don't get me wrong, I love my country. But I can't say the same about the political or social situation there at the moment.

TMY: Yeah... we were all really shocked. Apparently, it happened outside McDonalds in Bandar Utama... I am assuming it's the one near Centrepoint? I dont know.

Funny:
Yeah!! Get some fringe. hehehe... need to cut the fringe about every 2 weeks though. Quite annoying that way...

Remy IS always cute. I have a new video of him! But very shaky, a little Blair witch like... Dont know whether I should post it up and make ppl vomit.
