When you're enjoying life,

Time just seem to whisk by you without you realising it! And that was exactly what happened last weekend...

Conal sent me a message months ago, announcing his expected arrival in Melbourne... A few weeks ago, he sent me another reminder of his trip to Melbourne! I think he was afraid that I won't make time to see him, after 5 super long years!

And of course, he'll never let the fact go, that I couldn't make it to his wedding last year! **but hey, I saw the many many gorgeous photos on Facebook** Hehehe. Yes, that doesn't make it okay, I know... but I really couldn't get time off then. I even had to work nights on Christmas and New Year's last year :( Boohooohoo.

Anyways, we went out for breakfast last week. He was living at his sister's place in Ringwood, so we decided to go to Westfield Doncaster for a little catch-up. The all day breakfast at the Coffee Club actually wasn't bad at all :D

Of course you don't get to choose your free range eggs and all, but still pretty yummy :)

A happy snappy shot on the way home :) hehehe.

It's always great to catch-up with long lost good friends! We went separate ways when he went to Dundee, and I came to Melbourne many years ago. Since then, he's gotten married, and I got.......... myself a dog! hahaha.

Conal was craving Viet food the other night, so we brought him to this Vietnamese restaurant in Glenny called An An. :) Bal came along too!! Ken even flew in all the way from Auckland to meet Conal! I'm guessing everyone would, because I'm sure he would have sent them multiple reminders, and send them on a guilt trip if they didn't! Blehhhh :P :p Just kiddin', you know I love you :D

SMURFSSSS~! Coindidently, we were all decked in blue :D Hahah

The gang having drinks at Coco upstairs. Bal was utterly surprised that Glen Waverley's so happening! Hahaha. She kept complaining that Ringwood is a hole (yes, she lives in Ringwood!)

A good friend still thinks you're a good egg, eventhough you're slightly cracked :) True friends are difficult to come by, so cherish this one :)

Mei and Jonny boy. Jon's sooo brown now, from all the golf! :D I'm getting burnt as well!! My forearm is so much darker than my arm, it's kinda weirddddd.

Hmm, somehow, I think we look kinda alike in this photo.

---------------------------------------------

Saturday morning started with us waking up early, and then heading to Hawthorn to sign our new lease for our place in Camberwell... After lotsa fussing around, because I forgot to do my cheque earlier, we finally got to sit down for brekkie, unwind, and just enjoy the weekend sun at this quaint little cafe.

Jonny boy sipping on his cuppa coffee! Apparently, it's one of the best coffees he's had! I didn't try it cause I'm not much of a coffee person. The last time I drank some coffee **cause I was too sleepy and needed to stay awake** I ended up having palpitation, and feeling angsty the whole day! NOT GOODDD...

Mei, beaming :) with her yummilicious poached eggs on sourdough bread, sausages and grilled herb tomatoes. Coupled with a huge glass of "hippy juice" - orange, apple, carrot, celery, ginger.

Jonny boy's bacon and eggs...

After brunch, we adjourn for a little walk and then came home for a little rest. Jon ended up playing 18 holes - and got drenched from the rain again!! Somehow, he always gets wet when he plays golf! Even when the day started out looking really promising! Poor him!

The night was spent with more friends!! But I'll update with pics later :D

Busy busy weekend with lack of sleep, but sooo good to catch up with old friends! :)

Janice: Yes, it was such a good day! I wonder when we'll have one of those sun shiny days again! It's been rainy and cold over the weekend.

And thanks! :)
