I'm going for the Commonwealth Games!

.
Yes!!! Yay!!! Hooray!!! Yippie!!!
The title is quite self explanatory, isn't it?!? :D
.
I've been wanting to go for the games since last year, when they first released the sales of tickets on the internet... for group bookings and all. But we couldn't get tickets! :( So, after awhile, I kinda gave up on the idea, and decided that I was gonna watch the live telecast on telly, in the comfort of my own home...
.
But suddenly, they announced that they were releasing the remaining tickets today! Starting from mid day! Obviously, I was thrilled to hear that!!! I was so happy I was jumping around.
.
Ade and I attempted to buy the tickets online this noon. But I think the servers were so busy... that we couldn't even get access to the events we wanted! So, we decided to head down to Federation Square to grab the tickets in person, from the ticketing booths there.
.
We got there around 1.30 pm. And OH MY GOSH! I've never seen so many people at the information centre before! Traffic is picking up, and we're already seeing officials and athletes from various countries around the city. This is gonna be one exciting month in Melbourne!
.
I was a little worried that we might not get tickets. But thank God, we managed to, for the queue wasn't too long and there were many counters available, with efficient ticketing staff too :)
.
Due to obvious reasons, tickets for the opening ceremony, and all the aquatic events were sold out! DUH! What else would all the Aussies wanna watch rite? Swimming is like their pet sport! We managed to get tickets for Rhythmic Gymnastics! :) I'm thrilledddd... I'm super uber happy, cause that's the event I really really wanna watch. (Besides synchronised swimming).

Went to QV to get lunch from Sumo Salad after that :D YUmMMMmM....

I went home, a happy happy galll.... for I got my tickets for the games! Hehehe. I can't wait to go! I'm counting down the days already... 10 more days, to the biggest party of the year 2006! It still seems a little surreal that we got tickets 10 days before the games! Hehehe..

My only worry is that I'm so so gonna be tanned as charcoal after this. AhhHh... The blazing, scorchy hot sun is so gonna kill me! For we're planning to watch the opening ceremony at one of the live sites, and also go for triathlon and marathon at St. Kilda's! :D And oh, not forgetting the events for "Festive Melbourne" as well.

I surely hope I can finish all my assignments before that! Or else, I'm so gonna be in deep shit! Blah!
