Playing host yet again...

Sorry I haven't been updating my blog in awhile. Been busy with work, and on days that I didn't have to work, I was playing host to some family members visiting from Malaysia :)

Had an awesome time.... and snapped some awesome pics, with Jon's awesome camera...~! hehe.

My Aunty YK and Uncle PY came over for a visit not too long ago. I had to work the first couple of days, so Jon picked them up from the airport and dropped them at my place so they could rest, and freshen up after a long flight before heading out to get some food to soothe their stomach.

They spent the rest of the day with him, shopping in Chadstone and then we all had dinner at his mom and dad's place. Thank you baby, for picking them up and bringing them around.

Finally, I had my days off so I could go around a little with them. We didn't end up going anywhere far away, mainly cause I was too lazy to.... but also because they made bookings for day tours, so I didn't have to be the designated driver haha~! :P

I did however, bring them around town though. We went to visit the Shrine of Remembrance of my first day off. It was a beautiful, sunny day... but was still quite cold though. Mom was soooo wrapped up!!

This place somehow looks more beautiful now that I remember it to be. But then again, the last time I was there, was when I was a student a long time ago! heheheh.

We went inside, and was greeted by these colourful service medals from the war veterans. The whole wall was filled with about 4000 of these. Each represents 100 Victorians who served Australia in the war of peacekeeping, and 6 who have died in doing so.

Beautiful, yet touchingly meaningful, I thought.

The view from the top :) Very lush and green...
This place is like a little sanctuary. Standing tall, surrounded by fresh, serene greens, yet enveloped by the tall skyscrapers in the city. Perfect, for soaking in the sun and breathing in fresh, crisp air :)

And we did just that~! It was a little too windy that day for mom's liking though... tee hee.

Mom was freezing~!! Bbrbbrrrr....

Decked in red, in honour of Remembrance Day. Don't you think I complement the poppy flowers behind me very well?? Almost seems like it was all planned.

I loved the weather~! I thought it was perfect! Sunny, but not too hot. But I gotta admit though, it was a tad cold when the wind blew... but besides that, it was a perfect happy day for me!!

Or maybe I was just happy cause I have my family with me! heheheheh.

Or perhaps, I was happy because the two grown-ups agreed to pose for me for this photo. Oh how cute indeed!!

We then headed to the Botanical Gardens, and sat down for a little bit of rest, before exploring the humongous garden, filled with pretty pretty flowers and trees. I have to say that I love this place! It's sooo beautiful.

Love this pretty picture of mommy dearest :)

Colourful~! I think I shall make another trip some day soon, when the weather warms up... for some pretty pics :) hehehe. Sam, too bad you're not here! It's wayyyy nicer to do shoots here as compared to KL. No sweat :)

One of the sisters - mom and aunt.

I just realised that I have many pics to load, hehehe... so perhaps it'll come in the next post or so.

Till then, don't miss me too much! :) *big bear hug*
