To the snow, to the snow!

We've been waiting for the snow season to start since... forever. Finally, when the snow season started, the ski resorts opened... but the snow didn't fall! What a disappointment~! It snowed a little, and then melted away when days got sunny and nice. :( Oh well...

Finally, there was about half a metre of snow **including snow making** last weekend at Buller, so Jon and I jumped at the opportunity! Our first trip this season, and hopefully many more to come!!

Mei @ Mount Buller.

Not the whole mountain's opened for skiing yet. Only one side of it is. The Tyrol / Burnt Hut side is still pretty bare I reckon, which is why it's not open. The main green run (Baldy and Bourke Street) and the summit side's open, and groomed... so it was still pretty good!

Jonny boy @ Buller.

Strapping his bindings on :D And off he went on his new "Ride Society" board.

Some random girl took this photo of us :D Thank you!!

One of the highlight was the brand-spanking new 6 seater Holden Express chair lift! Replacing the old 3 seater Abom. The new Holden chairlift has automated gates, and a conveyor belt that takes you to your "position" to be loaded onto the chair lift. So you don't have to lift a single muscle to ski yourself to the green line to be loaded now :D It's pretty cool if you asked me!

And the best thing about the automated individual gate is that, nobody's gonna take too much space, leaving you with none! It's all fair and square now! You gotta try it!

Mei on the top of Baldy. Notice the Holden Express chair lift on the background?!

Us at the bottom of Summit - on the back of us, the black runs, Federation and Southside!

Oh, I need to digress for abit before I forget to mention it! On our way up to Buller that morning, we saw a meteor! Did you hear me? I said we saw a shooting star! Like, seriously!! We saw a shooting star!! For the first time in my life!!

It was awesome!!! We made a wish :D

Happified bunnies at the end of the day~!

The next day, Jon wasn't so happy! He woke up, feeling sore all over! With a couple of bruises here and there, at places I shall not mention. Tee hee hee...

We had lunch @ Glen Waverley, and then decided to walk around the Glen for abit, looking for a birthday card for Tisha. But, he found this instead!!! And jumped onto it, inserted a $2 dollar coin, and enjoyed his Shiatsu massage for 5 minutes...

He made me sit there with him cause he said people were staringgg... hehehe :P So, I resorted to camwhoring instead :) Oh well...

Tisha's birthday post coming right up, with pictures of yummilicious food to make you salivate~! Stay tuned!!

How was your weekend, everyone?! My week's been good so far. Lotsa errands to run for the rest of the week before I head home on Friday :) I'm soooo excited!!
