My weekend was nothing short of exciting! :) We celebrated Tisha's birthday last Sunday, after returning from the snow. The dinner was at Claypot's Seafood Restarant, at Greville Street in Fitzroy. We decided on the Fitzroy branch, instead of St. Kilda because of traffic and parking. It's just impossible to find a park in St. Kilda on a weekend, PLUS you still have to pay for parking at night! MADNESS!
Some side dishes to start with.... We had the marinated calamari, egg plant **wasn't Jon's choice of vegetable** and also the salad.
Then came the main course, which was the highlight of the night, the Stir Fried Shellfish~! We each had a crab, a huge ass prawn, and numerous mussels and phiphis. I think I had more crabs than the rest cause Cle didn't have much.
I didn't have a chance to snap a pic of our claypot dish cause my hands were already dirty, and we were too engrossed in our food to realise that I haven't snapped a photo of it. Hahahaha... Oh well, too late now.
Just us. Uncle Peter and Aunty Eng were busy enjoying themselves in sunny side Hawaiii!! :) Woohoo.... I bet they had an awesome time there~ How I wish for some warm, sunny days now! It's been too coldddd.... but it's good for the snow season, I guess :P
We then adjourned to Tisha's place for cake.... and was greeted by this hugeeee bouquet of roses! One of her many birthday gifts..... but this one deserves a mention cause it's just the biggest bouquet of flowers, ever... I think there were like 60 roses or something like that? Anyone knows what it symbolise?
Just to give you a better idea of its size. Jon told me to take a picture with it, and post it on my blog... as "Jon's gift to Mei". SUURRREEEE babe! :P Sureeee....
Also managed to catch up with Addy before she headed off to Perth. She'll be returning on Friday night, when I fly off to Malaysia!~! Haha. So won't get a chance to see her until I return from New Zealand next month. We'll probably head up to the snow again when able.
Addy was craving for nasi lemak, so she made me drive 30 minutes to look for this nasi lemak place!! I don't know if it did satisfy her craving by much~! Cause she ended up ordering the rendang anyways!
I had curry chicken, with some sambal. I have to admit, that the sambal was pretty good though! Very spicy indeed.... *tongue out like doggie* hehehee...
I'm kinda half way packing now... so more updates later. One more sleep, and I'll be on the plane~! To good old sunny, warm and super humid, Malaysia....
See you guys soon! Pray that I don't fall sick k??
