Sex and the City: The Movie

I went to watch Sex and the City: The Movie, when it released nationwide in Australia yesterday, with Esther. 

It has indeed been a long wait! Four years after the series ended, being a fan, I've been suffering from withdrawal symptoms and thus have been watching reruns. I can probably recite the lines now, if I saw the series again.... and yet, sometimes, I still get the DVD's out, and re-watch them all over again, especially when I'm feeling emo...

Ok, I digress....

I reckon the movie was good. GGrrreat from the fashion point of view, but story line was somewhat predictable, as we know that they'll all have their happy endings, and find closure...

I'd say, it's a feel-good movie, so do go watch it!

But because it's a movie, there's only sooo much you can fit into 2.5 hours. Everything felt "quick and easy" whereas, in the series, they took more time reflecting, and paid attention to minute details.... which I found more "close to the heart". 

All fans would have thought that if Carrie were to get married, it'd be a hugeeee ceremony, with designer dresses, decked in her Manolo's and walking down the aisle....

The ending was quite the contrary to that... The big fat designer wedding didn't happen... (Are you disappointed?). But I assure you that their wedding in the end, was just the way it's meant to be. 

Just perfect between the both of them... Just FOR the two of them. 

Ever thine, 

Ever mine, 

Ever ours. 

Now, excuse me while I go watch my reruns of the series! :D 

ps: I wished that Carrie had her grand, massive wedding... because she friggin' waited 10 years for him! All those tears, and heartache...
