Is God truly fair?

John Ilhan, the founder of Crazy John's mobile phones passed away yesterday while jogging near his home in Brighton. I couldn't believe myself when I heard it over the radio. I had to turn up the volume to make sure I heard it right, because I was merely watching his success story on Today Tonight the day before!! He was truly an inspiration to many...

John Ilhan started Crazy John’s with no stock, one shop and $1000. He was the first in the business to offer mobile phones for $1 each at a time when mobile phones were very expensive back in the early 90's.

He came to Australia when he was really young, and was looked down upon for being an immigrant. He grew up with nothing... but a dream. A dream to succeed, to make it big, and to achieve big in life... and that was exactly what he did... Being one of Australia's most prominent entrepreneurs, his business is now worth $310 million...

But I guess, all good things come to an end??? Just hours after being featured on Today Tonight with Anna Coren, he died of an apparent heart attack, at 42 years old!

Leaving behind his beloved wife, his children, and a youngest son, at a mere 8.5 months old...

I couldn't help but to feel sad for him. He will never have the chance to see his son grow up, or to call him "Dada". Never be able to see his daughter go to her first ball, to walk her down the aisle...

Couldn't help but to feel sad for the ones left behind. The wife is now a widow, left with the children, fending for themselves. No more warm cuddles in bed with daddy dearest... No more hearing his voice, no more loving husband and a confidant...

At times like these, I wonder... is God truly fair?? Just when you think you have it all, you wake up the next day, and it's gone...

Life is indeed very volatile...

So, live life to the fullest. Tell the special ones that you love them, everyday...

I love ya'all!! *muah*

Mei, you look so naturally beautiful in this photo.

And you're right. Life is too short lived. we should live each day like it's our last on earth.

Yup, God is fair indeed. You win some, you lose some. Maybe today is not your day, but who knows what;s gonna come knocking on your door tomorrow?
