Cafe in a garage??

I went back to the Department of General Practice today, for my release sessions... and finally got to catch up with some friends. Doing your GP rotation is like being away from civilisation! *Thank God I'm in Chaddy, and not stuck somewhere in woopwoopland* Cause you're by yourself the whole time. You don't get any contact with your coursemates and stuff. So it was really good catching up with everyone during our lunch break today.

Eric making a funny face!

We went to this funky place called Garage, along Berkeley Street. It's literally like a cafe in a garage! There's a dining section, and then there's a chillout section with couches and pool tables and stuff! And the best part is, there are parking spaces INSIDE the garage! How cool is that??

I quite like this photo. The flowers behind us make it look as if we're dining at some garden outdoor, when the fact is, we're in a garage. Kekekeke.

Look at the car parked inside! :D Awesome huh??

You don't even have to worry about getting a parking ticket, or getting your windows smashed, etc. No hassle, no cost! You can just park your car right in front of you while you dine! :) I reckon this is a cool idea!

Mei's hokkien noodle served in a wok.

The pool tables.

According to Alvin, this place looks very much nicer at night. And the best part is, it opens till late! I'm definitely gonna come here one of these days to check it out!

The dining section of the garage.

Authentic Indonesian dish - Ayam penyet. Literally translated to flattened/squashed chicken. It's served on a stone plate, with rice. Looks quite interesting. But only try this is you can handle spicy food! Don't say I didn't warn you before...

The food was not bad, the place was funkily cool, and the company was priceless! :)

er, wudnt parking ur car next to where u eat in an enclosed space make ur food kinda smell like exhaust fumes??? (sorry, that was the first thing I thought about, cos in London even your snot is black!!! YUCK! I miss Brisbane!).

kitt: It's near the corner of Grattan St. You won't miss it.

yerdeh: Urr, not really. The ventilation is pretty good there. It's not in an entirely enclosed area.

And the air here is nowhere like London's... Tee hee hee :D
