Spring in Melbourne

I love spring... and I love my good friends by my side, albeit only temporary.

It was a great weekend where I had the best of both worlds, right by my side. The sky was blue and the sun was shining :) and my good friends were visiting over the weekend and we went exploring Melbourne, the green way.

We drove to the city to meet up with Gary and Alice, and after breakfast, we walked around Harbour Town for awhile, before stopping at Waterfront City and New Quay for some photos.

So happen, there was an impromptu dune buggies exhibition at Waterfront City that day! What a pleasant coincidence :)

Gary the nerd insists this looks like the pituitary gland... So nerdy rite?? :P hehehe.

After exploring New Quay, we decided to try those new Melbourne bike share bikes. Since it was such a nice day, we decided to ride along the bike path to get to DFO South Wharf.

What an experience that way! I loved it~! I felt healthy, like I was actually exercising, soaking in some sun, and actually enjoying quality time with great friends at the same time! It was pretty awesome! :D

Would definitely wanna try it again some day, when the weather is warm and the sky is clear. Definitely worth doing in spring / summer.

On the way to DFO South Wharf. It was starting to get hot, partially because of the sun, but also because we just had a good workout :P

Mei posing in front of Captain Cook's ship - the Polly Woodside. Shopping was good, but our only problem was, to load our shopping loot onto our bicycles!! Hahaha. We were hoping the policeman wouldn't come around and fine us $270 for dangerous 'riding'.

Group pic <3 <3

Mucking around.

I just realised we have a few silly photos! Haha. This is almost similar to the L.O.V.E one we did at Boon's wedding in Queensland! Hehehe...

Next destination: Auckland!! Where the gang will be reunited again for Gary and Alice's wedding. Yippie!!!

We spent the evening at Crown, Southbank after dinner - along the Yarra River. Admiring the night lights and the infamous hourly fire display.

Us in front of Melbourne Aquarium. The only group shot we had - which I stole from Gary's album. Tee hee...

The night ended with some Krispy Kreme's donuts~!! Jon was definitely a happy boy... Nobody loves donuts as much as he does! Oh, maybe except Homer.

I was completely knackered by the time we got home. It was a tiring day, but a good one though. I hope you had fun too, Gary. Hopefully I'll see you again before you fly back to Auckland on Saturday.
