Life... and death.

I see tiny little babies being born everyday,
Admitted to the unit and being cared for,
Nursed back to health,
So they can go home to the loving arms of their moms and dads.

That feeling you get,
On the day they go home in their  comfy little basinet,
The day the mom comes over,
Calls you by your first name,
Like you're lost time friends...
Gives you a big hug,
And plants a kiss on your cheeks,

Is a perfect day at work :)

It's the reason behind me being a doctor.

To lend a helping hand.
To do something noble, no matter how small.

But there will also be days,
That those fragile little humans tell you,
In their own special way...

"I have had enough".
"I was not born to be in this condition".
"Please let me go".

Those days,
I wonder to myself,
Why did God choose them?

WHY?
Is God trying to test their strength? Or truly is He trying to test mine??

And yet, I always try to look for the rainbow after the rain...
