Pui San was in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago. The last time she was here, we didn't get to catch up (I can't actually remember why now!) Actually, this post is also sooo long overdue, I almost couldn't remember it was stuck in my "drafts". Hahaha.
Anyways, we met up in the city. She wanted to have Souvlaki, so we headed to the infamous Stalactites for lunch. This place is open 24/7 - one of the places we used to go to after clubbing. This was years ago though. Nowadays, I can hardly stay up till 2am. And even when I do, I suffer the consequences the next day. Signs of ageing I suppose...
Pui San & Mei @ Stalactites, at the corner of Russell & Lonsdale St.

We had a little time to kill after lunch, so we walked around the city, looking for a nice place to have coffee and desserts :) After all, we needed to work those calories away from the souvlakis we had!
It was a nice walk, cause the weather was perfect. It was sunny, yet not too hot. Breezy, but not too windy. I didn't need a jacket at all. Nice!
We then decided that Brunetti's was the way to go - since they offer outdoor seatings.
Tricia & Pui San @ Brunetti's Collins Street - enjoying the view and sipping their coffees. This was after consuming another piece of tiramisu cake. Heheheh...
Ah, the life :)
Us, catching up on what we've missed out in each other's lives over the years. I have just come to realise that time flies! Before you know it, we've known each other for over a decade! Can you believe it??
It is true when they say that good friends are difficult to come by. They are the ones that you don't see all that often... but you know they are always there.
And when you do get to meet up, it makes the moment much more precious :)
I don't know whether you call it fortunate, or unfortunate. My friends are scattered all over the world. They do not live close to me, nor do they ring me all the time. Sometimes, I wish they were here with me, so we could have slumber parties, or shopping escapes together. But the fact that I have friends all over the world, also meant that I can catch up with them, whereever I go.
I was just saying the other day, that if I went backpacking, I could probably survive half the journey around the world, bunking a night with my friends. Hehe.
Well, call it what you want. We all have to just make do with what we can have, isn't it? :P
