I have not been back to my home for more than a week now, and work's really starting to tire me out. Skiing was heaps of fun, but it left me aching all over, and all I feel like doing now, is just bludge at home and do nothing. But the department has been so busy, I had to work more than 2 hours overtime for the past 2 days (which is pretty unusual). Oh well, on the bright side, at least I'll get paid overtime, to subsidise my shopping addiction! Sighhh, I am now poorer than ever, after the ski trip...
I should be going back to Melbourne tomorrow after work, with Addy... Won't be driving back this week cause Addy's offered me a lift, and she should be finishing early tomorrow as well :D So, goodie!!! Don't have to catch the train, which is a good thing, cause then I can't carry too much home ** like my doona and stuff ** Can't wait to get home and see my munchkin!
Things lined up for the recent future:
- Golf @ Mornington Peninsula this weekend. Most probably going to The Dunes. Should be nice!!! I can't wait to step foot on the greens of one of the most scenic golf courses around...
- Skiing @ Mount Buller the following weekend.
- Maybe going up to Mt Hotham / Falls Creek again before the end of my rotation here in Bairnsdale.
- Our first year anniversary. :)
- My trip to Perth to visit my family, at the end August. It's been awhile... I can't wait!
So much to do! So little savings :( :( :( Sighhh... Gary and I were looking at some website the other day, at the average wage of different professions across Australia... Man!! How I wish I was in a different industry! Why am I not an executive in some big kickass multimillion dollar company? And man, even the accountants and architects get paid better... SIGGHHHH.... This is sad...
And you know what made me even sadder??
Now I really, just wanna be home...

In London the commercial and banking sector earns a truckload more than any other profession by far. CEOs of major banks like Barclays earn 100 million pounds a year, small fry mid-tier bankers earn an average of 100-200k pounds per annum. Doctors? Junior house officers 20-30k p.a. Some can't get jobs in the big cities. Specialists of course earn around 250k p.a. But it is depressing!
